The HMD Global has launched Nokia 9 PureView recently which is the first smartphone to pack five cameras on the back.
Nowadays, we have been seeing multiple cameras on the back panel from an ultra-wide to a main to a telephoto lens but this one goes one step ahead to make this device especially shining brightly in photography niche.
But, Nokia has laid the specs in this device which falls flat when compared to the other flagship devices.

Let’s check out in the Nokia 9 PureView review below:
Design and Display
Comparing it with other phones, the Nokia 9 PureView looks different from others as the company has opted for the conservative bezels at the top and bottom.
That means- there’s no space for notch! At the rear panel, you can see the five cameras with a flash and ToF (time of flight) sensor.
The device is protected with Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and back. Between them, there’s a metal frame which makes this device look premium in hands. The device is also IP67 rated- making it water and dust resistant.
On the right side of the phone, there are volume rocker and power button while on the left there is nothing.
At the bottom, you get a USB-C port alongside a microphone and speaker. Sadly, there’s no headphone jack on the device.
Coming to the display, the Nokia 9 PureView packs a 5.99-inch QHD+ pOLED display. The colors come out bright and clear and the high resolution of pixels is brilliant too.
The fingerprint sensor is integrated into the screen which is an optical reader rather than Galaxy S10’s ultrasonic tech. The only thing you might hate are the bezels this device has- way thick! Overall, the design and display of the device are premium and class.
Under the hood, the Nokia 9 PureView has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage.
In the market, the new flagship devices are coming up with Snapdragon 855 but Nokia’s new device has got the predecessor one. This doesn’t mean that the device will not perform good or something else.
The device is fast and smooth with no lags or stutters felt. The gaming sessions run pretty nicely on this device, especially you can run PUBG at high graphical renders without any hiccups felt and no heating in the phone felt.

Cameras and Battery Life
Coming to the camera, the device packs a five camera setup at the rear panel including a 12MP primary camera with a second 12MP camera(f/1.82 aperture), a third 12MP camera (f/1.82 aperture), a fourth 12MP camera (f/1.82 aperture) and a 12-MP camera (f/1.82 aperture). For selfies, you get a 20MP front shooter with an f/1.82 aperture.
The Nokia 9 PureView is the first smartphone which is capable to click pics from five cameras and then blending it into one which comes out at the best.
Honestly, speaking this device doesn’t leave any scars or patches behind in terms of the camera- perfectly driven pics come out of the lens with way more detailing and aesthetics than any other camera phone.
The Nokia 9 PureView houses a moderate 3,320mAh battery which will be enough for a typical day work and require refueling in the night.
The device also supports wireless charging – so you can get it to charge via a Qi wireless charger. Moreover, it also supports fast charging. Find some other variant available with amazing Snapdeal Offers which will give good discounts on all electronics gadgets.
The Nokia 9 PureView runs Android 9.0 Pie out of the box which makes it completely stock Android device.
This device also falls under the Android One program- it means you will get security patches regularly. Nokia has used a dedicated Light Lux Capacitor in this device to play with the camera at once in this multi-camera setup and finally process 240MP of the photo before passing it to the processor.
The connectivity and sensors include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, NFC, USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor.
The Nokia 9 PureView is just the device you want if you are a photographer. The specs are really nice but not the one’s you see in devices like S10 of Samsung. The device only targets the photography niche audience.
The device has special features like in-display fingerprint sensor, five camera given by HDR Global, and is low priced compared to others.
Though the device lacks a headphone jack and the latest Snapdragon 855 processor, the device has respectable specs. Overall, this is a nice device with outstanding camera and respectable specifications which you will fall in love for sure.
